My Little Graduates

My sweet, precious, little ladies -- Mommy is so proud of you as you recently completed your first year at Greenwich Spanish School.  You both thrived there and it was just as your daddy and I hoped and prayed it would be.

My dear Bella, you learned to read and write in Spanish in a mere 10 months of being immersed, the teacher and the director were so impressed by your ability and memory.  They are using you as their poster child to promote the school.  I knew you had a phenonemal memory like your daddy, but had no idea exactly how great it was until I began to hear you speaking and reading Spanish like a pro.  Your teacher said you were as well spoken as your classmate who had been in the program for 3 years.  God has blessed you with a wonderful mind, sweet girl, and I pray you will always honor Him with it and use it to glorify His plan for your life.  I know He has great things for you.  You can use this language now to serve and minister to others as you grow into what He has for you.

Lyla, my darling, Lyla.  You had a great year also, the teachers told daddy and me that you understand everything and speak when necessary.  They said you were always the first to welcome any new students and were friendly and eager to please.  You worked on learning to write your name and letters and numbers and are great at it now.  Although you could possibly start Kindergarten in the Fall we are going to keep you at GSS for another year to continue to develop your Spanish and other skills.  We are also eager to see what God has in store for you.  You are humble, sweet and everyone absolutely adores you.  I know God is going to use that one day to draw others to Him.

I must tell you girls that one day when you read this you'll see that mommy thinks a Kindergarten/pre-school graduation is a little bit ridiculous and although I didn't need it to remind how proud I was of you both, it was nice to see you beaming and so proud of your school.  I love you both to pieces and am so blessed to have you as my children!

Senora Bodine and Noelle --  your other Kindergarten classmate
Bella -- your teacher, Sra. Bodine was a God-send, a direct answer to this mommy's prayers.  She quickly learned how to diffuse you if you were in a situation that upset you and taught you how to handle your peers with kindness.  She said you were constantly leading the entire class in imaginary games they all loved.
ColCol and Grammy and Poppy got to come and see you girls graduate-- YAY!
